008 ❖ past tense, future perfect

every week there are things I’ve noticed and want to hold on to at least for another week, and this week it’s…

◆ my particular flavor of ADHD, not quite a superpower nor a debilitating handicap but a secret third thing that can conjure up a thought like “is the screaming goat noise from YouTube that’s now a featured punchline moment in several kids’ movies the new Wilhelm scream?”

◆ stretchy bracelets, whose ownership in our household is transient and accommodates most if not all of our wrist sizes

◆ the increasingly crucial heroism of archivists, and the observation that in 2025, some of our bravest heroes wear glasses held on by cords attached to the frames and say “SHHHHHHHHHHH!” a lot

◆ “futzing about” as a whimsical and safe-for-work replacement for “fucking around”

progressions
